Jan 2015 and I found myself caked in plaster, breathing in dust, tinnitus worsening from the clanging breaker. I stopped to to clear the sweat seeping into my eyes and respirator and thought “How on earth have I ended up here!”

After studying wildlife photography and previously conservation and land management I had envisaged a different life for myself. But the daily hustle and bustle and finances required to feed my two blood sucking darlings had lead me down this unforgiving path.

But that was the year I changed everything and I haven’t looked back. Sometimes I’m harnessed up on a roof photographing the daredevil removal of graffiti and sometimes I get to stand on a glacier in Greenland filming passing whales. One day I might be filming actors and another day I can be found photographing cold water swimmers.

Life is varied and beautiful and my lungs are thankful for it. Don't stray from the path...
